SCY is a grassroots charity, established in 2005 with the simple aim to reduce the numbers of youth homicide, crime and unemployment in Brixton. To give young people better options, choices and justice. To educate socially, emotionally and morally, to improve their life and wellbeing.

Brixton still has some of the most deprived areas in the country, where 50% of the children live in poverty! This is Great Britain and we all need to help these young people realise their potential.

"SCY is one of a minority of organisations in the Brixton area that target young people to deter them from gun and knife-related crime. The coldharbour ward itself is one of the most dangerous wards in western Europe, with one of London's most dangerous gangs resident in the community. SCY work hard with young people in the community to address the dangers around membership of gangs and the levels of disorder that are associated with them. I fully support and hope that SCY can continue their hard work with vulnerable young people in our community" Sergeant Menzies SNT

SCY is here to educate young people about the risks they face every day in life on the estates. Someone needs to show them that they don't have to be involved in gang life.

They need to be given real alternatives on how to legitimately get their needs met. There need to be LONG TERM SOLUTIONS which in turn, need LONG TERM INVESTMENT.
